As of May 1, 2019, Canadian Blood Services had facilitated 1,183 kidney transplants over the previous decade, collaborating with our partners in organ and tissue donation and transplantation (OTDT) across the country. The Kidney Paired Donation program was responsible for 663 transplants; 520 were enabled by the Highly Sensitized Patient kidney program.
